Help bees & other pollinators

1. Plant a variety of flowers rich in nectar and pollen - a window box works great if you don't have a garden.
2. Build or buy a solitary bee nest and install it in a sunny outdoor position.
3. If you have a lawn, let some areas of grass grow longer to provide a habitat for insects.
4. Make a simple insect hotel by making a pile of logs, branches, stones, or bricks.
5. If you have space, consider digging a wildlife pond to attract a variety of animals.
6. Learn how to revive tired, cold, and wet bees when you encounter them.
7. Learn how to identify common bees and butterflies and get involved in recording.
8. Spread the word about helping bees to your friends & family!
